• Nationality: Indian Citizen
• Age Limit: Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC as per government norms.
  • Graduate Engineer: 26 Years General, 29 Years OBC, 31 Years SC and ST
  • Junior Engineer Assistant: 30 Years General, 33 Years OBC, 35 Years SC and ST
  • Apprentices: 18 - 24 Years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Graduate Engineers: B.E. or B.Tech and GATE Score
  • Finance Officer: CA or ICWA or MBA (Finance)
  • HR Officer: MBA HR or PG Diploma in HR
  • Legal Officer: LLB Bachelor of Law with CLAT PG Score
  • Junior Engineer Assistant: Diploma in Engineering
  • Apprentices: ITI, Diploma and Graduate in relevant trade

IOCL Exam Pattern and Selection Process

1. For Engineers or Officers - Through GATE

• Candidates must clear the GATE exam in the relevant subject.
• IOCL shortlists candidates based on GATE score and Interview.

2. For Junior Engineering Assistant and Diploma Level Jobs

• Computer-Based Test
  • General Awareness
  • Technical Subject Knowledge
  • Reasoning and Aptitude

• Skill Test
  • Typing test for Clerical positions
• Document Verification and Medical Examination

3. For Apprenticeship

• Selection based on Merit - No Exam.
