1. Scientific Officer - OCES and DGFS – Through BARC Exam or GATE

• Disciplines:

Job Role:
Research & development in nuclear technology, atomic energy, reactors, and related fields.

2. Technical Officer

• Eligibility: B.E. or B.Tech in relevant disciplines.
• Job Role: Design, testing, and maintenance of nuclear reactors and facilities.

3. Scientific Assistant and Technician

• Scientific Assistant: Diploma in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc..
• Technician B and C: ITI Certification in Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, etc.

Job Role:

• Assisting in scientific research and nuclear facility operations

4. Stipendiary Trainee - Category I and II

• Category I: Diploma, B.Sc. in Science - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
• Category II: ITI in Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, etc.

Job Role:

• On-the-job training in nuclear plant operations, research, and maintenance.

5. Administrative and Finance Jobs

• Clerk - LDC, Stenographer, Security Guard, Work Assistant.

Job Role:

• Managing administration, HR, accounts, and clerical work at BARC.

BARC Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality: Indian Citizen

 Age Limit:

• Scientific Officer: Max 26 years
• Technical Officer: Max 35 years
• Technician: Max 27 years
• Stipendiary Trainee: Max 24 years
• Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC and PWD as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:

• Scientific Officer: B.E., B.Tech and M.Sc. with 60 percentage marks and BARC Exam or GATE Score.
• Technical Officer: B.E., B.Tech in relevant field.
• Scientific Assistant: Diploma, B.Sc. in Science.
• Technician: ITI Certificate in relevant trade.
• Administrative Posts: Graduate degree for clerk, finance, etc..

BARC Exam Pattern and Selection Process

1. Scientific Officer (OCES/DGFS)

• BARC Online Exam OR GATE Score
• Technical Interview Shortlisted candidates based on the exam.

Exam Subjects:

• Engineering, Science subjects based on discipline.
• No negative marking.

2. Stipendiary Trainee and Technician

• Stage 1: Preliminary Test
