ISRO Job Roles and Post Categories:

1. Scientist or Engineer – Through ISRO Exam or GATE

• Disciplines:

• Job Role:
  Research and development in satellite technology, launch vehicle design, propulsion systems, and space missions.

• Technician B: ITI Certificate in Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Plumber, Machinist, etc.
• Job Role:
  Manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of satellite and launch vehicle components.

• Accounts Officer (Finance & Audit)
• Purchase & Store Officer
• Job Role:
  Managing finance, HR, procurement, and logistics in ISRO centers.

ISRO Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Indian Citizen
• Age Limit:
  • Scientist or Engineer: Max 28 years
  • Technical Assistant: Max 30 years
  • Technician B: Max 35 years
  • Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC and PWD as per government rules.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Scientist or Engineer: B.E. or B.Tech with 65% marks and GATE
  • Technical Assistant: Diploma in Engineering - Mechanical, Electronics, Civil, etc..
  • Technician B: ITI Certificate in relevant trade.
  • Administrative Officers: MBA, CA, ICWA for Finance, Graduate Degree for other roles.

ISRO Exam Pattern and Selection Process

1. Scientist or Engineer

• Written Test:
  • Technical Subject Knowledge - Based on Engineering Discipline
  • General Awareness and Aptitude
  • Reasoning and English
• Interview:
  • Shortlisted candidates appear for technical interviews.
• GATE-Based Recruitment:
  • Some Scientist or Engineer positions are filled directly through GATE score and Interview.

2. Technician B and Technical Assistant

• Written Exam:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Technical Subject Knowledge
• Skill Test:
  • Trade Test for ITI and Diploma roles.
