FCI - Food Corporation of India: Recruitment

The Food Corporation of India - FCI https://fci.gov.in/ conducts recruitment exams for various posts in its different departments, including General, Depot, Technical, Accounts, and Civil Engineering. FCI is responsible for food security and storage across the country.

Job Role:

Job Role:
Senior-level administrative and technical work related to food procurement, quality control, legal matters, and accounts.

3. Category III - Non-Executive Posts

• Junior Engineer - Civil, Electrical and Mechanical

• Assistant Grade III - General, Depot, Technical, Accounts and Hindi.

Job Role:
Handling office operations, storage, quality checks, procurement, and administrative support.

Job Role:
Ensuring security and maintenance of FCI godowns and premises.

FCI Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Indian Citizen
• Age Limit: Varies by post - Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC and PwD as per government norms.
  • Manager: 28 Years
  • Junior Engineer: 28 Years
  • Assistant Grade III: 27 Years
  • Watchman: 25 Years
• Educational Qualification:
  • Manager – General and Depot: Bachelors degree in any discipline.
  • Manager - Technical: B.Sc. – Agriculture or B.Tech - Food Science, Bio-Tech or related field.
  • Manager - Accounts: CA, ICWA, CS or B.Com and MBA (Finance).
  • Manager – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical: B.E. and B.Tech in relevant field.
  • Junior Engineer: Diploma, Degree in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Assistant Grade III: Bachelors degree in the relevant field.
  • Watchman: 8th Pass.

3. FCI Exam Pattern and Selection Process

FCI conducts different exams for various posts. The selection process generally includes:

1. Online Written Exam Phase I and II

• Phase I -  Prelims - Objective Test
  • English Language
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Numerical Aptitude
  • General Awareness
  • Total: 100 Marks
• Phase II - Mains - Post-Specific Test
  • Questions based on the specific post.

2. Skill Test For Typist and Stenographer

• Typing speed and stenography test.

3. Physical Endurance Test For Watchman

• Running, lifting, and physical tasks.

4. Document Verification and Medical Test

• Final stage before joining.
