The General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) - http://www.gicre.in is the sole reinsurance company owned by the Government of India. It conducts recruitment for various posts, mainly for Assistant Manager (Scale I Officers) in different disciplines.

1. GIC Assistant Manager (Scale I Officer)

Job Role:

• Underwriting policies and managing reinsurance operations.
• Risk assessment and financial planning in insurance.
• Coordination with national and international insurance agencies.
• Managing claims, legal compliance, and policy formulation.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age: 21 to 30 years (Relaxation for reserved categories).
2. Educational Qualification:
   • Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant disciplines (Finance, IT, Law, Engineering, HR, etc.).
   • Minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
   • For Finance/Accounts: CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
   • For IT: B.E/B.Tech (Computer Science/IT) or MCA.
   • For Law: LLB/LLM.

Exam Pattern for GIC Assistant Manager

1. Online Examination (Objective & Descriptive):
   • Sections: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, General Awareness, Professional Knowledge (specific to the discipline).
   • Total Marks: 150
   • Duration: 150 minutes
2. Group Discussion & Interview:
   • Candidates shortlisted from the online exam are called for GD and Interview.
   • Weightage: Online Exam (75%), GD (10%), Interview (15%).
