Job Fair at St. Joseph Model Higher Secondary School, Thrissur

The Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) Thrissur Archdiocese, in collaboration with Deepika News and the Don Bosco Job Placement Network, successfully organized a Mega Job Fair at St. Joseph Model Higher Secondary School, Thrissur. The fair aimed to connect young job seekers with meaningful employment opportunities and promote sustainable career development in the region.

The event saw participation from 32 recruitment partners offering over 1,500 job openings across a wide range of industries. Out of 994 registered candidates, 412 attended in person. The drive led to 119 on-the-spot selections and 273 candidates shortlisted for the next round. This initiative not only addressed immediate employment needs but also laid the groundwork for stronger industry partnerships with local youth talent.

The fair was graced by prominent dignitaries including Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath; Rev. Fr. Geo Cheradai, Director of KCYM Thrissur Archdiocese; Jishad Jose, President of KCYM Thrissur Archdiocese; School Principals Rev. Fr. Biju Nandikara and Rev. Fr. Johnpaul Chemmannur; and Mr. Harish, Programme Manager of Don Bosco JPN. Their presence offered motivation and inspiration to job seekers and reinforced the collaborative spirit of the event.

The events success was made possible through the visionary leadership of Rev. Fr. Geo Cheradai, Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj SDB, and Sr. Francy Mariya FCC, along with the tireless efforts of the KCYM Thrissur Archdiocese team: General Secretary. Mejo Moses, Vice President. Sneha Benny, State Syndicate Member. Ashline James, and State Senate Members: Sharon Simon, Juvin Jose, Rincy Roy, and Danial Joseph. Special thanks to the school principals, enthusiastic youth volunteers (Jithin Peter, Sajan, Shino Simon, Anz Anto, Santo K Raju, Hema, Bibin, Irine, Denna, Benjo, Alfred, Josvin, Angelo, Steny Sijo), and the Don Bosco JPN team – Mr. Peter (Programme Coordinator), Ms. Marina (Placement Coordinator, JPN Bangalore), and Mr. Harish (Programme Manager) – for their remarkable coordination and commitment to youth empowerment.

Mr. Vishnu Ramesh, HR Manager at Hykon India Ltd., Thrissur, shared, "We were truly impressed by the quality and preparedness of the candidates. This job fair provided us with promising profiles that match our skill requirements. We appreciate KCYM and Don Bosco JPN for this professional setup."

Mr. Nirmal K.S., HR representative of Radhia Motors (Force), Thrissur, stated, "This was one of the most organized hiring events we have attended in the region. The support from the volunteers and coordinators was excellent, and we look forward to participating in future drives."

Neenu Paul, a selected candidate now placed at Manappuram Finance Ltd, said, "This opportunity came to me at the right time. I had been struggling to find suitable openings. Thanks to the fair, I found a job that aligns with my goals."

Anwin Joseph, who secured a role with Hykon India Ltd, remarked, "I am thankful to KCYM and Don Bosco JPN for organizing this event. The guidance and on-the-spot interview experience gave me a much-needed breakthrough in my career journey."
