Employability Skill Training Programme at Don Bosco College, Kohima

Don Bosco College, Kohima, hosted an insightful employability skills training session for over 250 final year graduating students. Organized by the Placement Cell of the college, the session was conducted by Mr. Sebi Chacko, Regional Coordinator of AIDA  Don Bosco Job Placement Network, Dimapur.

The session aimed to equip students with essential employability skills, providing them with valuable insights into career opportunities, higher education options, and entrepreneurial possibilities. The event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Xavier Matton SDB, Rector of Don Bosco Kohima, and Rev. Fr. Christudoss SDB, marking the beginning of an engaging and informative program.

Session Highlights:

• Developing Employability Skills: Mr. Sebi Chacko emphasized key skills required for professional success, including communication, problem solving, teamwork, and adaptability.

• Exploring Career Opportunities: Students were introduced to various career options, including higher education, diploma courses, and self employment opportunities.

• Preparation for Government Examinations: Detailed insights were shared on competitive exams that students could target to build stable and successful careers.

• Introduction to Don Bosco Job Placement Mobile App and Website: Mr. Chacko presented this valuable platform, which offers students essential resources for career planning and job search support.

The interactive format allowed students to actively participate, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge about their future career paths.
