Don Bosco Career Guidance and Job Placement Services, Ranchi, organized a Job Readiness Program at Don Bosco Pvt ITI, Kuarumunda, Odisha, on 28th January 2025. The program aimed to equip students with essential skills to enhance their employability and prepare them for the workforce. Mr. Marcus Minj facilitated the sessions, engaging both first-year and second-year students in interactive discussions and training. The initiative focused on providing practical knowledge and tools to help students transition smoothly from education to employment.
The program covered various aspects of job readiness, including resume writing and profile building, interview skills with mock interview sessions, workplace etiquette, and soft skills development. Students also learned about job search strategies and industry insights. Special emphasis was placed on teamwork, time management, and professionalism, ensuring that students develop the necessary skills to succeed in a competitive job market. Additionally, they were introduced to the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN) portal and the Jobs DBI application, which provide access to job opportunities and employer connections.
A total of 230 students participated in the program, gaining valuable insights into career development and job preparedness. Among them, 110 final-year students successfully registered and onboarded on the JPN portal, enabling them to explore job opportunities through the Don Bosco network. This initiative reflects Don Bosco’s commitment to empowering young individuals with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to build successful careers.
