The Tech 4 good awards 2021 is an initiative of NASSCOM foundation in recognizing organization working towards Accelerating Technology Innovation and adapting them for social good. NASSCOM Foundation invited applications from Not for profits, for profits, Social Enterprises and Companies for the awards under 6 broad themes + 1 COVID 19 Special category.
Out of the total of 547 applications, 96 were shortlisted for the first phase. For the final jury, 3 Not for profit organizations where shortlisted under each theme.
Along with 2 other NGOs, SmartGaon Development Foundation and Amogh trust, JPN was selected for the Final Jury presentation under Livelihood theme. Under this theme, technological innovations that help increase the income of common Indian citizen and can help create better living standard were given importance. Initiatives that encourage young people at the bottom of the pyramid to get trained, start their own ventures thorough technological innovations were also preferred.
The final Jury presentation happened on 23rd November and Fr. Gabriel presented the activities of JPN and the impacts it has created on the livelihood of the vulnerable youth. The jury panel consisting of Mr. Murugan Vasudevan, CEO of Veddis foundation, Mr. Amitav Virmani, Founder and CEO of The Education Alliance, and Mr. Pranshu Singhal, Founder of Karo Sambhav were accessing the performance of JPN for the award.
The juries encouraged the initiative of JPN, especially the initiatives of our help locations and the Network.
