All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the AISSEE for admission to Class VI and IX in Sainik Schools across India. These English-medium, residential schools, approved by the Ministry of Defence, prepare cadets for the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and other officer training academies.

Class VI Eligibility: 10-12 years old as of March of the admission year. Girls are eligible subject to vacancies.
Class IX Eligibility: 13-15 years old as of March of the admission year, with a passed Class VIII certificate from a recognised school. Girls are eligible subject to vacancies.
Fees: Rs. 650 (General/OBC/Defence personnel), Rs. 500 (SC/ST)
