On May 27th, 2023, the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) of the Diocese of Sultanpet, Don Bosco Vazhikaatti Trichy and Don Bosco Job Placement Network organized a highly successful job fair at St. Marys Public School, Kanjikode, Palakkad. The event was coordinated by Fr. Prabin, Youth Director of Sultanpet Diocese, it drew a large gathering of job seekers and Recruiters.
The event was inaugurated by Fr. Prince, Parish Priest of the Holy Family Church Kanjikode, He inspired the job seekers to pursue their dreams and persevere in their job search. The presence of Fr. Pious, Director SMSSS and Sr. Ransom Headmistress St. Marys Public School added to the grace of the occasion, while Mr. Kalaiselvan, the DEO of Trichy, served as the chief guest.
A total of 123 job seekers Pre-registered for the fair, with over 89 walking-in directly. The event offered 130 job opportunities, resulting in 81 successful placements. More than 10 job seekers were given spot offers during the fair. The fair witnessed the active participation of 16 employees from various sectors who came to recruit talent. The smooth execution of the event was made possible by the support of Mr. Ebenezer Raja, Young Professional from National Career Services , and Mr. John Martin, Program Manager from Don Bosco Job Placement Network. Mr. Arumairaj, Senior Placement Coordinator from Don Bosco Vazhikaatti , Trichy, Mr. Francis treasurer of KCYM and Davis, Antony, Rex and the Youth Volunteers of KCYM played a crucial role in coordinating the entire event. The job fair provided a platform for job seekers to connect with potential employers, facilitating valuable opportunities for both parties. It served as a significant step toward reducing unemployment and bridging the gap between job seekers and employers in the region.
