AIDA Don Bosco Job Placement Network, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Employment (ST/SC Kohima), National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled, Employment Exchange Dimapur, and Model Career Centre Dimapur, organized a successful job fair at AIDA.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Roy George SDB welcomed the guests and highlighted AIDA JPNs impact in Nagaland and the Northeast. He also shared the organizations achievements and its four decades of service in the region.
Shri. R S Siipuni Pou, Sub-Regional Employment Officer, Kohima, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of employer-employee relationships and encouraging participants to give their best in interviews. Shri. Gideon L Sumi, District Employment Exchange Officer, Dimapur, shared insights on career growth and noted that over 72,000 unemployed youth (Class 10 and above) are registered with the employment exchange, including 27,000 in Dimapur and Chumukedima alone.
The job fair connected job seekers with employers, featuring over 100 job vacancies. More than 60 candidates participated, with several shortlisted for jobs. Four companies attended in person, while one participated online. The event reinforced AIDA – Don Bosco JPN’s commitment to empowering job seekers and fostering career opportunities in the region.
