The Macquarie Foundation has gone beyond just training, actively engaging with local communities to make a meaningful impact. During their Foundation Week, they connected with youth at the Don Bosco Yuvakendra Centre in Najafgarh, Delhi on 16th October, fostering a sense of camaraderie and inspiring the next generation. Over 100 young participants benefited from a session led by the Macquarie Volunteering team, gaining valuable knowledge and insights. In addition, the Foundation organized a memorable cultural event with the children at the Aashalayam Centre in Palam, New Delhi, further underscoring its commitment to improving the lives of underprivileged communities. The children also participated in a creative art and craft event, offering them a chance to express their creativity and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment. These initiatives highlight the transformative power of collaboration in creating opportunities and driving positive change for disadvantaged populations. Moreover, the Macquarie Staff Engagement team has contributed funds to provide a water purifier for the Don Bosco Najafgarh Centre and to modify the kitchen chimney at the Aashalayam Centre, ensuring a safer and more supportive environment for the children.
