Job opportunities for more than 400 young people belonging to socially and economically backward communities at Ranchi.

Don Bosco Job placement Network aims at providing decent jobs with safer and secure migration. More than four hundred youth who are skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled were provided with job opportunities in varied job profiles. Speaking on this Mr. Marcus Minj – Placement coordinator said that “Jharkhand and its surrounding area are known for its cheap labour migration which has paved way to modern slavery and labour exploitation. There is no platform which were able to provide a proper job market information among the young job seekers and hence they land up with job information provided by brokers or so-called agents in a lot of mismatched jobs under exploitive situation. With the initiative of Don Bosco Job Placement services initiated in our institution we were able to provide a proper labour market information among the youth who are searching for jobs. It was quite a difficult road we travelled during the time of Covid 19 but slowly through our interventions we were able to win confidence of the young people. Once gaining confidence young people are ready for our services, we provide career guidance and provide them with a proper labour market information suiting to their profile. We also make them understand that proper education and skill upgrading can pave way to better job opportunities. Thanks to Don Bosco ITI. Ranchi which is a blessing to the youth in our region because it provides a lot of skill training in both formal and non- formal manner. Apart from this we too provide direct job referrals to candidate who need job at once through placement drives. So far, we organised six such placement drives through which we were able to provide job opportunities to more than four hundred youth. We have maintained a good rapport with a lot of industries varying for manufacturing, hospitality, services, hospital, financial services, etc. which is an added advantage for us. Our regional coordinators at various points like Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi etc assist young people who are migrating for jobs and ensure they are safe and secure. This service of ours is also well appreciated by the youth and Recruiters." Don Bosco Job placement services at Ranchi has been specially set up to help migrating job seekers towards formal labour market with decent works and safe and secured social integration.
